Here at A Dollar makes a Scholar, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change. Our non-profit is driven by a single goal; making sure everyone can achieve their dreams. We use the collected dollars to provide scholarships for orphans.

INDUMATHI PRAKASH
My name is Indumathi Prakash, a student at Harvard University. Whether it is through an organization such as this, volunteering my time at shelters, or pursuing my dream towards the medical field, I want to give back to those who are less fortunate and do not have the access that we do.
My passion for helping students blossomed when I went on my trip to India at the end of high school and I got to spend time in an orphanage and shelter. I saw these eager and curious students wanting to do something impactful but they did not have the same resources as I did. Their love and compassion melted my heart instantly and I could tell the adults there were trying to their best to foster an environment for these students.
I however could see the struggle and thought well what can I do to help make it easier for these students to succeed. With a little help from everyone it is easy to reach the goal of "A Dollar Makes a Scholar." It could be as simple as donating the money used for a cup of coffee and if kids are clothed, fed, and educated, then they are able to conquer this world.
